Dr. Aaron Kolar
Dr. Aaron Kolar, a born and raised Central Texan, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with a passion for thoughtful, relationship-centered primary care.
After graduating from Texas State University in 2010 with a degree in mass communications, Dr. Kolar found that he could not shake the desire to pursue a career in healthcare. Encouraged by his mother, a retired nurse, he returned to school at Baylor University to complete his pre-medical studies while simultaneously working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Baylor Scott & White–Hillcrest. Those years became foundational in shaping both the work ethic and patient-centered approach to care that continue to define his practice today.
Dr. Kolar went on to attend medical school at Lincoln Memorial University–DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he began his medical education surrounded by the backdrop of the Smoky Mountains. While those years were professionally humbling and transformative, he cherishes that season most because it is when he met and married his wife, Fallyn.
Following medical school, Dr. Kolar moved to Fort Worth to complete his Internal Medicine Residency through HCA Healthcare. During residency, he gained experience caring for patients with complex acute and chronic medical conditions while refining the clinical foundation that now supports his outpatient practice. Residency brought long hours and intense years of training, but it also became one of the most meaningful chapters of their lives as they welcomed their daughter, Hattie.
Although they grew to love Fort Worth and still cherish every opportunity to visit, the Kolars felt called back home to Central Texas in 2023 to begin the next chapter of both life and medicine. Dr. Kolar began his career as an internist, and their family continued to grow with the arrival of their sons, Ames and later Ezra. Today, as a family of five, they are embarking on their biggest faith-filled venture yet: ARK Primary Care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kolar enjoys spending time with his family exploring Waco and searching for a good cup of coffee. He’s an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to the Texas Rangers and San Antonio Spurs, and enjoys reading novels and watching 90s sitcoms in his spare time.
